The Australian Microsoft Security Summit is kicking off in 10 days. I have to tell you aside from being excited to be a speaker, I'm really glad I get to see the presentations too.  We went over the developer track presentations today and you're going to love them!

In Privacy, Security, and Compliance: What you need to know NOW! Graham Elliot is going to show you some things about compliance and how Microsoft does it that you are really going to want to know.  I won't spoil the fun but there are some pretty scary bits of information in his presentation.

In Protect your Applications: Strategies that Can be Applied to Applications I'll be showing you how to keep your application development safe by using the new Threat Modelling methodology and tool that is used at Microsoft to ensure their applications are developed securely.

In the Application Development Principles and Best Practices session Dave Glover gets to show you all the cool stuff.  His presentation is all about how to hack software, and how you can keep it from happening to you.  It's deffinately one you don't want to miss. I can't wait to sit in on this one myself! Robust Applications with Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005 Andrew Coates get's to show you all the new stuff in Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2005 that will help you create more secure, more reliable applications. Chock full of demos and fresh info, Andrew is going to have you asking for more.

Don't forget if you have questions about the topics, or just want to hang out with Developer and IT Pro security experts and get to know us, the Security Interchange evening event is the place to be! We'll be around to answer your questions, and you'll be able to ask the panel of speakers what ever is on your mind about securing your systems and applications.
