Sydney Windows Infrastructure User Group !!
Well on Tuesday Derrick kicked off the SWIUG. It was a great turnout for an opening meeting. There is a lot of potential there and I'm sure the attendees will be gaining a lot of cutting edge information.
Jeff Alexander from Microsoft presented on Windows Server 2003 R2. There are several great things coming in there for branch office management. the file replication technologies are one of the biggest hits. I think Jeff's presentation will be made available on the SWIUG site.
I also presented on an upcoming course from Readify, as well as bridging the gap between developers and IT Pros. We have to start communicating early. IT Pros and Devs have to talk before the devs start writing code. When policies change on either side of the fence. WALK down and talk to the other group about it. Set up meetings for sharing security information. My presentation slides will be up on the SWIUG site as well.
Check it out and sign up!
