Here are two of the participants for the Vista Touchdown event in Melbourne:

VistaMelbTouchdown5

On the left is Matt Robinson from Sage Technology and on the right is Mark Killmer from Infosys.  I asked them each a couple of questions about their feelings of day 1.  Here are their responses to those questions:

Had you used Vista before this course?
Matt: No
Mark: No

What was the most interesting thing that you saw today (maybe something that you didn't expect)?
Matt: Really impressed with the metadata search capabilities and how it can be extended if required.  Very powerful!
Mark: I didn't expect to be so impressed by the GUI and Aero and the ability that you have to control the representation of data in the OS.

When do you think that you'll get to install Vista/WinFX to start playing with them at home?
Matt: ASAP.  I'm especially interested in getting my hands dirty with WCF.
Mark: Tomorrow when my new laptop arrives! Smile [:)]
