Behind The Scenes At TechEd
I'm starting up a series called 'Behind The Scenes At TechEd'. I've sent out some interview questions to a few of the people who are responsible for making it happen - the man in charge of the whole event, track owners, people like that. Pretty soon I'll be posting Issue #1 with Michael Kleef.
The problem I've had with putting this together is coming up with a name. My first idea was to put together a calendar - 'The Men of TechEd' would probably sell well at TechEd, but probably not so much in the newsstands :) It would be tasteful, sure, but the image of a scantily-clad Michael Kleef or Chuck Sterling started to turn my stomach after a little while.

When I realised that one of the track owners was a female, the idea went out the window. Next I thought comic form would be cool.

But given that my art15t'5 5k1llz aren't even as 133t as Rory's, I gave up on that too.
In the end, I've decided to go with something simple. I write a nice short list of interview questions and sent them out to each of the track owners in the hope that they'll all answer me and actually make this series a success. I'm still yet to hear back from one guy (I'm not naming names) - but since he's got until mid-august before the pressure really start up, I'm not to worried yet - everyone else has either sent me their responses, or promised to.
So on that note, I'll close my intro. I hope you enjoy them. And possibly - just possibly - someone will slip up and tell us where the party is going to be :)
