Less Than A Week To Go - Just How Big Will TechEd Be?
Coatesy blogged yesterday (in amongst his interesting grammar that gets gooder and gooder :) about how many ticket sales there's been for TechEd, and that it's actually starting to get quite full.
With only a week (less, really) until TechEd starts, I thought I'd do some hunting and see really where things are at, and where they've been in the past.
These numbers are approximations only - all warranties null and void the moment you try and decipher them. I can tell you that each number is larger than the one before it, and that they are all at least greater than 1000.
In 2002, TechEd attracted as many attendees as the number that represents the year in which Arthur Tudor and Catherine of Aragon were married.
In 2003, the number of attendees has prime factors of 2, 2, and 401.
For 2004 - this decimal number maps to the windows RPC error code RPC_S_INCOMPLETE_NAME.
In 2005, find the year that Apollo 1 caught fire.
And for 2006. the word on the street is that they've currently sold more than this many: 2^11 + 2^8 + 2^6 + 2^5. The powers that be are expecting the count to surpass the frequency of the tone used by a blue box to gain control of telephone networks.
Wow. This year is going to be huge, and the numbers (if you figure them out) show it's going to biggest by far!
