So TechEd starts this week. I trust you are all "a quiver" with anticipation. Just wanted to give a final rundown of what you'll get at the presentation Tatham and myself will be giving on Friday (yes last session last day) on building an Atlas mashup using some Aussie content.

  • Virtual Earth Map navigation (what mashup would be complete without it )
  • Highlighting of all Australian and New Zealand user groups on the map, depending on where you navigate to.
  • Dashboard control to allow more interactive map navigation.
  • Ability to do a textual search on any user group in the Aus/NZ area.
  • Click on a search result and have the map instantly pan to that area.
  • Hover over the pushpin on a particular user group and have details displayed about it.
  • Click on a button to have a particular user group added to your Windows Live page as a gadget, displaying user group details and RSS Feed details if any.
  • Cool UI features via the Atlas control toolkit.
  • Learning how to take advantage of these services within your own apps.
  • Free copies of my book "Beginning AJAX in ASP.NET"
  • Somewhere to sit if you are just really tired from the entire TechEd event.
  • Watch Tatham Oddie (co presenter) work his web weaving magic.

Hopefully Tatham and myself will see you there.

P.S. Its at Bayside 105, 2.00pm - 3.15pm
