It has been an amazing week this week with Office 2007, Windows Vista and .NET 3.0 all were released to manufacturing. What is special about this is the fact that all of these products/tools integrate tightly so it is really a major achievement getting them all out the door in roughly the same time span.

Over the next seven days I suspect that a lot of developers who have been writing code on the bleeding edge will start rebuilding their machines to a clean baseline and start shipping applications that take .NET 3.0 as a dependency so that they can leverage WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), WCF (Windows Communication Foundation), WF (Windows Workflow Foundation) and WCS (Windows CardSpace).

I can't wait to rebuild all my machines, I've been holding off because I knew that all of this was just around the corner and my machines were stable (including the ones that were running Vista RC1). It is going to be cool to see how my Fujitsu Tablet PC goes because from what I have been hearing the Tablet PC support really turned a corner between RC1 and RTM.
